2019 Mahindra XUV300: Which variant should you buy?

Compact SUVs have become one of the most desirable factions since it first was introduced by Ford EcoSport. Now, Mahindra & Mahindra, Indian automaker, is all set and ready to take a stab at it through its XUV 300. Based on the SsangYong Tivoli platform, Mahindra XUV 300 has been made short to fit the sub-4m SUV rules in India.

The XUV300 colors include Pearl White, Dual-tone Red Range, Sunburst Orange, Red Rage, Napoli Black, D’Sat Silver, and Dual-Tone Aquamarine. It is clear from the XUV 300 interior photos that it is one of the best looking compact SUV out there.

The XUV car has the following four variants, each of which you should assess first before you go out to buy the compact SUV:

XUV300 W4

The XUV300 price in India is Rs. 7.90 for petrol and Rs. 8.49 for a diesel option. The safety features include four disc brakes, dual front-occupant airbags, auto-unlock with impact-sensing, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, ABS with EBD, and speed-sensing door locks. The body of the SUV has black and silver front grille with sill cladding, ORVM covers, and body-colored door handles. For the interior, the model has 60:40 split rear bench seats, black fabric upholstery, and dual-tone dashboard. Apart from this, there is also a multi-mode steering wheel, a 12V accessory socket, an adjustable rear headrest, power windows, electric tailgate release, electrically-adjustable ORVMs, and height-adjustable front seats.

XUV300 W6

Set at Rs. 8.76 lakh for petrol and Rs. 9.30 lakh for diesel, there are no upgrades for safety features in this XUV300. There are some exterior upgrades from W4 variant like door cladding, silver accents in the front grille, follow-me-home function in headlamps, and 16-inch steel wheels with wheel caps. Other features added in this variant include audio control with steering-mounted, entry through remote key, and a 7-inch touchscreen unit with an inbuilt navigation system, FM, AUX-In, and USB. This variant is best suited for you if your budget is Rs. 10 lakh.

 

 XUV300 W8

The XUV300 price is Rs. 10.25 lakh for petrol and Rs. 10.80 lakh for diesel, the W8 variant of XUV300 has rear parking sensors and reverse camera as safety upgrades. There is also a rear defogger in the front as well as rear fog lamps and Hill Hold functionality with ESP. For the exterior upgrade, the variant has 17-inch alloy wheels, LED DRLs in projector headlamps, silver faux skid plates, and integrated turn indicators in power-folding ORVMs. The interior upgrade includes ambient lighting, leatherette steering gear knob, and wheel in fabric seat upholstery, and piano black door trims. This is the best variant of XUV300 to go for if you have the budget for it.

XUV300 W8 (O)

The XUV diesel and petrol variant cost Rs. 11.99 lakh and Rs. 11.44 lakh respectively. There are some safety upgrades in this variant like front parking sensors, five extra side bags for knee and side, 3-point seatbelt for passenger in the rear middle, and tire pressure monitoring system. Heated ORVMs, sunroof, and dual-tone roof rails are some of the exterior upgrades available. For convenience upgrade, there is express up/down in driver window and auto-dimming IRVM.
