Indonesia has many islands that can be visited for holidays, one of which is Bintan Island in the Riau Archipelago. Bintan Island is the largest island in Riau. Two well-known cities are Tanjung Pinang and Bintan. For those of you who will visit, here are six interesting places on Bintan Island to visit:
- Crystal Lagoon
Crystal lagoon is the largest pool in Southeast Asia located on the beach. Crystal Lagoon covers an area of 6.4 hectares and has spectacular views from the air. A total of 115,060,000 liters of water are needed to fill the swimming pool built on the beach.
The water used comes from seawater that has gone through a distillation process to clear the color. Various activities that can be done at Crystal Lagoon are swimming in a large pool, playing water sports such as Boat Rides, kayaks, fly board, and several other water sports.
- Lagoi
Lagoi is an exclusive tourist area on Bintan Island. Bintan Island itself is famous for having many beaches, and international resorts are located about 60 minutes from the city of Tanjungpinang. This area has always been the target of foreign tourists, so do not be surprised if many foreign tourists come here, especially tourists from Singapore.
- Lagoi Beach
Lagoi Beach is known as the miniature of Singapore. Why is it said to be a miniature of Singapore? Because in the past, to visit Lagoi Beach you had to pay in SGD currency. Granite stones are still decorating beaches in the tourist area of Bintan Island. You need to know that Lagoi Beach is very similar to the beaches on the island of Bali. Even the facilities available are complete and classy, such as discotheques, spas, golf courses, and resorts. Lagoi Beach is directly opposite Singapore and Malaysia.
- Stinging Island
If you visit Bintan Island, you must schedule a trip to Penyengat Island. The island, which is located not far from the city of Tanjung Pinang, can be reached in just 15 minutes across the sea using a pompong (motorized boat). Interestingly, the island of Penyengat is also one of the historical witnesses of the struggle of the Kingdom of the Sultanate of Riau against invaders in the 18th century.
On Pulau, Penyengat stands majestically a Grand Mosque of the Sultan of Riau with a mosque that took up to 40 years. This is a mosque with a uniqueness that does not exist anywhere else. Even the walls of the mosque are made with egg white adhesive. The yellow and green mosque building has even been seen from afar before approaching the island.
- Senggarang Island
Senggarang Island is a settlement of Chinese descent. Senggarang Island is opposite Tanjungpinang and is perfect for those of you who want to find peace or want to get away from city life. Usually this island is visited by many tourists from Singapore with the aim of worshiping. Around Senggarang Island there are various historical relics of the Chinese community.
